Some cabins are better than others. But overall, it is a great place with beautiful views, and a wonderful feel. Some cabins can be difficult for some vehicles to reach. Some of the beds are very hard.

I've been here twice, and I've always enjoyed my experience. It feels like you have your own family cabin to enjoy!

Very rustic. Road is somewhat rough and very narrow (1 lane in many areas). Very dark at night - no outdoor lighting of any kind (street lights, walkway lights) so bring a flashlight or you might not find your way back to your car. Pavilion is nice for a variety of events. Lovely views.

We rented a cabin in order to attend our grand-daughters wedding at the Pavilion. The cabin was about 5 miles from the pavilion (that is not even explained on the website) and it was up a very steep gravel driveway. After two attempts to go up the drive with a running start and backsliding most of the way down we called the office and explained that the cabin was inaccessible and we needed alternate housing. We were told we should park our car in the road and climb up the hill! We said we wanted an alternate cabin that was accessible to us and the remainder of our party who would be arriving the following day. They found us another cabin and charged $280 more.....We feel this was very poorly handled as it is not our problem that their roads make access to their cabins impossible.

This was our second time staying here at this place. We have only stayed in the ole damn cabin. The first time was a great experience. This time not so much. We were on our honeymoon and I paid $175 for the touch of romance package. This includes a steak, salad, bread, baked potato, wine, and dessert. Also the room had candles lit, fire going, some music on, and some decorations done. Presentation wasn't so bad but food and all definitely not worth the $175! The steak seemed to be a porterhouse (which is a very good cut) but was paper thin. The potato couldn't eat it had a gritty texture to it and terrible flavor. Salad not bad. Bread not home made definitely cheap store bought. Wine if you like dry white you may like it us personally we drink one small glass and left the rest. The dessert was decent. Above all the meal not even close to $100 let alone $175 even the nicest restaurants would been more reasonable. On to the cabin plenty of spiders which normally no worries for me but getting bit is different. They got a bigger better tv but no local channels on satellite which sucked because I'm a football guy and we got in on a Sunday so no football for us. No big deal but come on satellite in mostly inexpensive to upgrade. They put in a new light on the back but you have to plug in the extension cord which means the other end is cut off and wired to it (don't think that's how it should be done). Don't read into the pond and it's mostly not able to fish due to amount of scum on it. So that's my thoughts on this time. It's truly a let down because we raved about this the first time we were here. Now seemed liked this cabin is forgotten about. Hence why our signed paper you fill out was never taken from mail box along with 2 more in there from previous people staying. Our preacher wanted information on the place to come visit because how we talked about it but since this we will no longer comeback and recommend it. Sorry for the long review but had to get this off my chest.
